Reindeer..Rudolph...Santa...December...get it?




December is often associated with rain. And what goes along with hearing the raindrops falling outside your bed room window? You know it, music. Whether it's to accompany you while you sleep or to help you feel more relaxed, music in some kind of magical way helps you transfer to a different state of mind.

I find that every season and even every month has its own signature music style. Maybe some months have similarities in terms of music style, but I disagree for December.  In this time of the year, people in general are in their festive mood. People are excited to spending the holidays with their loved ones, giving and getting presents, going on a vacation after a long year of hard work, and spoiling yourself before the new year begins.




To be frank this playlist lacks the holiday spirit, it doesn't feel joyous at all. This is not your typical Christmas playlist, if you want those I recommend you to explore the wonderful world of Youtube. These are few songs I currently play on repeat. Perhaps the only "happy" song in this playlist is Last Chrsitmas by Wham!, but looking at the lyrics....well it's up to you to judge.
Whether it's appropriate for the holiday season or not, for me this playlist is suitable for the dark and rainy December days I encounter in Jakarta. These songs in a way or another makes me feel...festive.
